Hello! It is Hilary from Second Grade is Out of This World, and I am writing today about how I share my teacher read-aloud’s with my students. I read aloud to my students everyday, sometimes several times a day. Can you guess what the most popular books in my classroom usually are? So, how do I avoid the “Can I have that book when you are finished?” parade? I do a book raffle! When I am finished reading a book, I choose a stick out of my super handy dandy stick picker! Whoever’s number is on the stick gets that book! That kiddo’s stick goes into the other side of the stick picker (to be fair). When they are done the book goes back into general circulation, or I get it back! Easy peasey lemon squeezy! How do you share the books in your classroom?
