Hi Everyone! I’m a little late with my post but you know how things can get so crazy towards the end of the school year. Seems to have started a little early for me. 🙂
Well onto my post! Today I want to share with you a neat site for art/science/social studies/math projects that use recycled items. The Imagination Factory is one of my favorite sites for “green” projects. I love it when the kids can creatively repurpose stuff that normally lands in landfills. Kids love the idea of going green too, especially when they turn “trash” into something useful or beautiful. It gives everyone a great feeling!
mmm…It also saves on the budget because most kids have these “items” at home and can easily bring them to school.
What’s really nice about The Imagination Factory is that you can choose a project several different ways.
Trash Matcher: Choose the project by material you have on hand.
Scout Badge Matcher: Matches projects with Girl Scout Badges and Brownie Scout Try-its
Project Matcher: Choose by Project
The Imagination Factory has some great summer projects. Perfect for a little brain break during summer school or to include in your lessons.
The Imagination Factory does have a premium membership which is $10/year but they also offer a ton of free stuff(which is what I use).
Hope you hop over and take a look at The Imagination Factory.
PS…I created a Father’s Day version of “The Scoop” and you can pick it up here. Also I’ve had many request for a daily version of The Scoop and I’m just starting to work on it. Thanks for all the comments and suggestions I’ve had for The Scoop. I appreciate them!
