I love using anchor charts in my classroom! They are a great way to introduce a new topic or document student learning. To keep my students engaged while creating anchor charts, I make them interactive by using sticky-notes.
While creating an anchor chart, I pass-out sticky-notes for students to write a response on. This way, students aren’t sitting back and watching me write, but being engaged learners in the creation of the anchor chart.
Students can work as individuals, in partners, or small groups to create their responses. It’s really endless with what your students can do!
How do you get students engaged while creating anchor charts in your classroom?
